Where we are based
Our office is on Sydenham Road, near Bell Green, in the London Borough of Lewisham. From here we serve Sydenham and the neighbouring districts, including Forest Hill, Crystal Palace, Penge, Catford and Beckenham. You can see the full list on our areas we cover page.
Being based in SE26 matters. Our drivers start and finish their shifts on these roads, so they know the school traffic on Kirkdale, the bus stops on Westwood Hill and the quick way round Bell Green when the lights are against you.

How a booking works
Every journey with us is booked in advance through the office, by phone or online. That is a legal requirement for private hire in London, and it is also what keeps you safe, because each trip is recorded.
When you book, we ask for the pickup address, the destination, the time and the number of passengers. We quote a fare before you confirm. A driver is then allocated, and the car comes to your door.
For airport pickups we ask for your flight number, so that the driver can follow the landing time. For regular journeys we can keep your details on file and repeat the booking as often as you need.
Our vehicles
We run saloon cars, estate cars, MPVs seating six or seven, 8 seater minibuses and executive cars. Child seats and wheelchair accessible vehicles are available on request. Please tell us what you need when you book, so that the right vehicle is sent.
Licensing
Private hire services in London are regulated by Transport for London. The operator, each driver and each vehicle must hold a current licence.

Drivers licensed by Transport for London have passed an enhanced criminal record check, a medical assessment and a topographical test. Vehicles are inspected and must be insured for hire and reward.
Payment
You can pay by card or cash. Business and regular customers can apply for an account and settle weekly.

The pages on this website are written by the Sydenham Mini Cabs team and reviewed against what our drivers see on the road. Journey times are given as typical figures, since traffic in London changes daily. Each page shows the date it was last updated.
